There is only one way to feel peace when everything around us is chaos:
God’s love for us.
When there’s so much wrong around us -or in us- we can have the blessed assurance that God has our back, if we give Him the chance. I have had many troubling thoughts in these past few days about the lack of morals and empathy in our society. It’s so sad to think that we are immersed in this selfish reality of the “me and only me” culture.
Everywhere I see, people are so focused on themselves and their own life that there’s little room for anything but themselves. I have seen no empathy for others.
And the common denominator I see is the lack of faith in God. If we don’t have faith then anything and everything is ok. There’s no boundaries and no rules to follow. And then chaos ensue.
World :1 ~ Love:0
And this is not new. Jesus experienced the full weight of this kind of society, where his message of love and forgiveness wasn’t well received and He paid the maximum prize for us. He died so that we could be free of the shackles of sin.
Being the recipient of this kind of love might seem undeserved at first, but it’s there for us, always waiting for us to take that first step into accepting it. His love is unending and wonderful, and maybe the most real feeling we have ever felt in our life. It gives us purpose and identity.
There’s nothing to lose but everything to gain when you trust in Jesus. It’s free and eternal.
When the world rejects you, Jesus is waiting with open arms so that you may be loved, forgiven and free. 💕
“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time”.
1 Timothy 2:3-6
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.
