There is no greater love than the one Jesus has for us. He died and rose from the dead for us… And by doing so, He gave us the greatest gift of all: Eternal Salvation.
In yesterday's sermon we heard a very powerful testimony of the love and faithfulness God has to offer to every one of us. It was about a muslin girl in troubled Iran. When the god of her religion didn't answer her plead, she turned to God Almighty and asked to be saved from the imminent danger she was in. Our faithful God responded and she was taken from a dangerous situation that would've meant death. After that she realized that the god her muslin religion taught her, never had worked a miracle, but God did, just by her crying plead for help. She began to be even more intrigued about God. And turned to read the bible. And the words that were read were alive in her as the Holy Spirit blessed her. Not to make it long, her family didn't want her to continue this path away from their family tradition. They made terrible things to her to make her deny God and turn again to their muslin god. But she was already in love with Jesus and she learned that Jesus not only loves us but He sacrificed himself for us. What other god on earth has been known to sacrifice themeselves for others? What other so called "god" doesn't ask for any kind of offering or sacrifice to see if -maybe- you earn your way into heaven? None.
Jesus doesn't ask for anything because He sacrified himself for us. There is no need for us to perform any kind of ritual or offering because there is simply no need for it. People think that this is not possible: To receive a gift without giving anything in return.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
It doesn't matter what people say to you or about you… We have a far greater cheerleader that will never talk us down or reproach anything: Jesus. And we are more precious and worthy to him that all the treasures of this world. You see, Jesus being God came to live among us to show us the way to live, and sacrifice himself to show what love really is.
Jesus love is free and available to all who look for it. There is no need of anything but true repentance and recognition of Jesus as the Son of God and our Only Savior.
Anyone can access his rewards and gifts, just by accepting Jesus in their lives.
Jesus is no fable or story. His tomb remains empty because he Rose from the dead and is sitting in glory in Heaven.
What other so called "god" can prove this? Their dead bodies are rotten deep beneath the earth.
Jesus is true to what is said about him. Every word, every miracle that even in today's world we can see are the works of The Living God.
The love that Jesus offer us goes beyond our human nature and proves what we can never achieve: TRUE, UNFAILING AND INFINITE LOVE for each and every one of us.
There are no barriers for Jesus. He doesn't care what he have done or not, his love and mercy goes beyond all that. And when others may just condemn you, Jesus welcomes you with open arms…
His gift of salvation is readily available anytime to anyone who longs for it. But sometimes we only want our way or the highway. We don't see past our noses, and continue this never ending path of emptiness that the world offers.
He don't want to feel left out by our friends, our peers, our social circle… that is too much for our ego.
What we don't think about is how this selfish thought makes us grow apart from God. There is only true freedom and worth when we know who our Holy Father is. When we get to know how precious we are to him, when we learn how patient and loving He is waiting for us. He would never force us, He wants us to choose him freely.
While the world may offer you a perceived worth and meaning, it is nothing compared to the worth you have under God's eyes:
YOU ARE MARVELOUS AND PERFECT, because God created you under his own image, and nothing that God makes is imperfect.
The world may say you don't have the perfect body measurements or you are not tall enough, or the color of your skin is not the perfect standard, etc. None of these fading and frugal things matter.
What really matters is to know that we are loved by the Greatest and Only God, the creator of all. Amazing!
I can happily say that I may be against the world, because I know there are better and greater rewards to those who stand with the King of All. But more importantly is because, I can have a true relationship with my creator and father through the sacrifice Jesus made for me. I can talk to him anytime and know He listens, He has the power, He is faithful and He has the greatest love to give than anyone can imagine.
