My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses,
so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
While it's been a couple of days into February already, I feel like I'm just starting...But not only a new month but a new month to persevere.
I'm not talking about a diet or exercise plan, but a spiritual training to seek God first.
I have had many verses lately that complement each other in a way that I can't ignore. God is speaking and I must listen.
One of those very powerful and revealing verses is found in Isaiah 55:
It reminds me that God always finishes what He starts. That gives me hope and the drive to continue to seek him, even though I may be weak, His mercy is always at hand. As Isaiah records, just like the rain comes down and it doesn't return in the same way, but waters -refreshes- the earth. God's Word refreshes our Spirits and renews our mind so that we may seek him wholeheartedly.
His Spirit living inside us move us do what He wants.
We start to love and forgive like him, be humble and kind like Him. One step at a time.
I want to focus in what God wants for my life. And that means leaving a lot of the worldly things behind. I am fine with that. I have seen and felt his love and mercy. This is the only possible response. Nothing matters more than my Savior.
There's a long way to go but I cannot wait to see what's ahead! With God's help I will keep on. Just like Luke 8:15 says: I want to give fruit with perseverance.
